Events 

The Snowdonia for Science 2026 event is a significant opportunity for individuals to trek to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and raise funds for Prostate Cancer Research. The event will take place on 13th June 2026, offering two trekking routes: one intermediate and one more challenging. Participants can choose between two fundraising options and will receive a warm welcome from the PCR Team, along with a free t-shirt, bottle, and snacks for the route. The event includes a celebratory photo opportunity at the summit and a glass of bubbly to toast with fellow trekkers. The total distance is 21.6km with a total ascent of 1608m, and the walking time is approximately 10 hours. The Classic Snowdon climb may be slightly shorter but offers the experience of hiking the highest mountain in England & Wales. The event is designed to be accessible for all levels of fitness, with support from qualified mountain guides and the Prostate Cancer Research Staff Team.

How HareDale would be supporting, HareDale will be taking part in the walk in June and collecting for the amazing work that PCR do. We will have collections at our markets plus we have a donation section on our online shop where you can donate £5,£10, or £20.
